Being dyslexic can be a distinct advantage in life, it can provide you with skills that will enable you to excel. You could be inspirational, dynamic, artistic, euntrapaneur and inventive, you can think and understand theories in ways others can only imagine.
A person with dyslexia needs to be able to find methods to communicate effectively and develop strategies to demonstarate their abilities.
It is important to undersatnd your strengths and your areas for improvement to be able to develop your communications skills effectively.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Catherine Wright; I have been a Dyslexia tutor for over 8 years and I am fully qualified to support people of all age groups. I hold a diploma in teaching learners with Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia), I am an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association and have a Masters Degree in Disability Studies.

There is no obligation and if you decide you want to discuss tution or testing we can arrange an appointmnet.
If you are an adult either continuing education or would like to develop additional organisation and coping strategies to increase your capabilties, please look at the adult section of the site. I can support students claiming the Disabled Student Allowance (DSA) with study skills and the development of proof and speed reading.
I am available to support you or your child on a 1 to 1 basis with their dyslexia / literacy / numeracy problems. My philosophy is to work with the family as well as the child and provide holistic support. Dyslexia is not something you can 'get rid of' but is something you can cope with and to learn mechanism and techniques to support problems. My aim is to work with your strengths whilst supporting your areas for improvement.
I am based in Newark (Nottinghamshire) but I am prepared to travel within a twenty five mile radius. There will be a small additional charge per mile for travelling over ten miles.
I can provide dyslexia assessments to support all age of learners to provide you with a profile of strengths and areas for improvment you require to achieve your targets and provide information for a school, college, university or work place.
Assessment prices will be provided on request, tuition charges are £25 per 50 min, £30 for 1 hr and £45 for 1.5hrs and the consultaion is free of charge.
